Inspired By Our Roots - BUSH
Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Kiwani Tapper, founder and owner of BUSH, located in Miami, FL, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is a modern island lifestyle brand. Focusing on all things organic, natural, & eco-friendly. We started out with herbal loose leaf teas. We promoted their medicinal benefits by adding more products that can be used daily. Our newest products include clean skincare products and chemical-free dyed pillowcases. All of our products are high quality, organic, eco-friendly, and natural.
Tell us about yourself
I am a young black single mama who loves everything all-natural. I aspire to live a chemical-free life with my family. My Jamaican roots inspire my brand. My knowledge of herbs comes from my education while studying oriental medicine.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment has been making a difference in people's lives. No matter how big or small it is.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Balance has been one of the hardest things. I want to do everything and pretty much all simultaneously, which is nearly impossible.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Just do it.
- Don’t worry about perfecting everything before releasing or launching a product/idea.
- Be consistent.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
