We are inspired to positively impact the micro business market through cognitive learning, accountability and resource management.
Tell us about yourself
I have had two failed businesses prior to going back to school to learn 'What I did not know about what I did not know.' I'm on a mission to save other micro-business owners from making the same mistakes I did.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Building the MarketAtomy Academy eLearning Platform and designing a Business Health Check Assessment tool for uncovering gaps that may be holding businesses back from growing.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Managing the many responsibilities efficiently.
What are the top 3 tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
1)Don't quit your J.O.B. until you're making your salary in your business.
2)Don't try to wear all the hats to save money (it doesn't work)
3)Celebrate the small successes.
If there was one thing you could do repeatedly to help grow your business, what would it be?
Get out and talk to groups of business owners. I find that the excitement and exuberance is so much more effective in person.
What are some of the things you put in place to maintain a healthy work/life balance?
Specific days/hours set aside for family. Establishing set hours and honouring them.
Who are some of your favorite entrepreneurs and why?
Oprah Winfrey, Richard Branson. I like associating with BIG Dreamers!
Simon Sinek - Begin with Why is a great book.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Never stop. If you hit a roadblock, take a step back and reassess. You may see a new path around the block.
