Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in food and beverage but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Ryan Gardner, CEO of Bucked Up, located in American Fork, UT, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
Sports Nutrition Supplements and Energy Drinks. Our customers are anyone that works out and looking to be healthy. Also, those that buy Energy Drinks.
Tell us about yourself
I was driving traffic online for a lot of people to their products and services and finally got smart and started driving traffic for my own offer and decided that Supplements were the biggest opportunity.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Grow a business from the ground up. I have bootstrapped my company from a small start-up and never taken on debt to one that is making a few hundred million dollars a year.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
There are always tough decisions along the way. There was one time I had to destroy over 200k Energy Drinks because I knew we had one shot at it, and they needed to taste really good.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Start learning and skill, and through experience, you will learn how to run and grow your own company. It is very rare that someone that has no experience actually succeeds with a start-up. So go learn from someone that is already doing it in business and learn from their expertise.
