What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is photography and design. My customers are usually creatives or families whose morals align with my own. Being the difference we all wish to see in the community essentially.
Tell us about yourself
So I first started doing photography around my freshman year of high school at St. Mary's in Stockton. All my friends played football, I wasn't trying to play anymore because my head would always hurt, but I wanted to still be on the field with my brothers. I have been interested in photography since 8th grade and figured I'd join the yearbook and be the school's "Sports Journalist." It was around this time that Instagram started to blow up, so I just stuck with the art because it was fun, and I met hella people from it.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner was working for the Golden State Warriors for a few years. I had grown up going to the games with my father, Jeff, but they weren't that good back then lol. The highlight of the game was seeing Thunder, their mascot. So it was a full circle moment for me because I'm watching a team I love and getting paid too.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing would be just wearing so many hats. You have to be the face of a company, a recruiter, and the list goes on.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Investing in yourself will always be worth it.
- Don't be afraid to ask your people for help, no matter how minuscule.
- Learn Facebook ads.
