What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a private chef that offers in-home chef services for special events and gatherings. I also provide catering services for corporate parties.
Tell us about yourself
My passion for food started at a very young age. I grew up cooking for my family and hosting small dinner parties for my friends. After working in restaurant management for a few years, I decided I needed to be in the kitchen instead. I gained valuable experience working at several winery kitchens in Napa Valley. In 2021 I decided it was time to start making my own food and launched Brooke's Table.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business is successfully finding new clients and maintaining relationships with people in Napa Valley. The community has really helped me to succeed at the level I am today.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner is adjusting to changes daily, weekly, and monthly. Each event is treated as the first one. I meet each client with passion and love for the food.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
The top three tips I would give to anyone looking to start a business is one, JUST DO IT. There is never a perfect time to start. Another tip is to stay humble and consistently try to improve. Lastly, have fun. You started this business out of a passion for what you do, so make sure to enjoy it.
