What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are in the business of providing opportunities for both customers and vendors. We strive to build a community that connects local food, household, personal, and health producers to the segment of the population who value high-quality goods that help build the Edmonton and area economy.
Tell us about yourself
I have always been interested in helping entrepreneurs to build their businesses and providing guidance to navigate the challenges they face. I am inspired by my dedicated staff and the love of our market they display by helping customers to have a unique shopping experience.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Creating a team that is building a community. A fair-trade market environment with a European atmosphere.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Carrying the responsibility of vendors and their employee's livelihoods that depend on the success of our venture.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- You must have a great passion for what you are doing. You need to love your business idea deeply.
- Do the business plan and constantly adjust and refine it.
- Listen to your customers. Put their needs first and make sure that they are satisfied.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Yes, for me, there is no greater joy than seeing my vision come to fruition and working on the new challenges that constantly present themselves.
