Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Boston Carter, CEO of Elemental Research and Consulting Group, LLC., located in Monroe, WA, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I show people how to build a strong relationship with the higher self, how to navigate life more easily and without suffering, and how to fall deeply in love with yourself. My customers are those who feel called to seek something that they have always longed for but are not sure what it is.
Tell us about yourself
Around 30 years ago, I discovered that I could see inside people. I could see their health issues, personalities, and how their thoughts sometimes created their health issues. Over time I discerned that there are patterns of instinct that cause us to see life a certain way. I also see that there is another side to us that most are unaware of but is fully accessible. I became a Dr. of psychology so I could help people to know who they really are and what they are really capable of.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Finding great people who share my vision of building a society of compassionate problem solvers, which is done by relating to the higher self. It is the higher self that holds our wisdom and knows what our instinct side does not. Access that brings "out of the box" solutions.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Hands down, marketing. I'm not a salesperson. I'm an intuitive, a psychologist, a spiritualist, and more, not a salesperson. That may be a good thing, though. My approach to selling is to share what I've discovered and let people decide if it feels right for them. No hard sell. My higher self communicates through images and feelings, so I really want to support that.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- If you are doing what really matters to you, you will feel scared at times. When that happens, sit still, and listen. Wait for the right time and direction to move forward. Timing matters.
- Help others succeed too. Focus on what you can give to the world more than on what you get from it.
- It's a process. Allow it to work out. Don't force things that don't feel right.
