What's your business, and who are your customers?

Our business specializes in understanding the scientific and behavioral parameters of managers called "great bosses" and what explains their success with their teams and in their organization. We analyze their management and leadership and measure their impacts on organizations in several aspects, such as healthy performance, organizational culture, recruitment, employee engagement, etc.

We offer products and services for organizations of all sizes. We offer certifications to distinguish managers and organizations humanly, analysis and support products in management and organizational culture, and training, conferences, and workshops for managers and HR professionals.

Tell us about yourself

I started my entrepreneurial journey a few years ago by partnering with my spouse, the president and co-founder of BonBoss, with me. We noticed several issues in the labor market that led organizations towards the need to adjust how to manage teams and evaluate performance while remaining effective. After several observations, we concluded that a manager is a fundamental element of healthy performance and engaging organizational cultures thanks to the quality of their human management. Organizations with great bosses tend to perform better and have fewer problems attracting and retaining staff.

Knowing this, it is an incredible motivation to get up every morning and having the privilege of helping managers to develop or understand that they are great bosses, to help employees to be fulfilled and happy at work, and to support organizations in their improvement and growth. I sincerely believe that I have the best job in the world!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My team, definitely. We could never have accomplished everything we did without this wonderful team of immensely talented and committed people who make me so proud of our team every day. I thank them all and consider myself very lucky to be able to experience this and work with my spouse in such an enriching environment.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Uncertainties or unforeseen events. There are so many things we have no control over, and it can be hard sometimes to keep the trust that everything is going to be alright when we are going through a tough time. As business owners, we sometimes wonder if we are doing the right thing or if we could have made a better decision. But you should know that there are many resources around us and fantastic people who exist to help us.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Keep it simple (products, operations, etc. Make it so clear that everybody understands what you do).
Surround yourself with talented people you trust and who believe in what you do.
Believe and invest in yourself.
