What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am the Bodyworkers Business Coach for entrepreneurs in the Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Reiki & Personal Training professions. My Clients have a passion to "Do More and Be More." They are ready to be their own Boss.

I educate and help build confidence for those navigating the uncertainty of leaving an employee situation to open their own practice. And I strategize with struggling business owners on the tipping point of closing their doors. I audit their current practices, identify missed opportunities, and together, we launch a new game plan.

Tell us about yourself

It's time to pass the Torch! I have been a full-time Massage Therapist since 1992, a sole proprietor of Saunders Massage Therapy since 2006, and currently the Entrepreneurial Skills Teacher at the Boulder Massage Therapy Institute. My vast experience has created this desire to share my knowledge of success and failure with the next generation.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I am a professional Listener. My greatest pride is when the support I give MT Clients leads to a wellness breakthrough, and the knowledge I give to Coaching Clients sets them on the path to success.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Business/Personal time management. Establish a consistent business schedule and boundaries to protect family time.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Avoid "Burnout" by continuously growing and changing.

  1. Connect with Clients through Psychographics.
  2. Prove to Clients the sustainable value of your skillset.
  3. Plan three months in advance for promotional opportunities.
