Transform Your Relationship With Money - Bliss + Wealth

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Jenny Whichello, Founder of Bliss + Wealth, located in Fredericksburg, VA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I’m a money coach, and my platform is Bliss + Wealth. I offer resources, courses, and coaching for women and solopreneurs. My signature program is truly unique because I blend money mindset (inner work) with financial planning (outer work). I passed the CFP® exam, and now I leverage my knowledge to help women have blissful relationships with their money and build vision-driven financial goals.

Tell us about yourself

I was blessed with a six-figure salary very early in my career. I worked for over 16 years as a CFO for fashion start-ups. Despite being successful with corporate finance, my personal finances were less than ideal. I chased external tools and actions to fix my situation, but nothing changed until I realized that I had a dysfunctional relationship with money. I see a lot of women struggling like I did, and I also see them turning to tactical advice when the solution starts from within. I’m passionate about getting more money in the hands of women because I wholeheartedly believe that’s how we can change the world. But first, they’ve got to know they are worthy of building wealth.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Launching my course! It took a year to develop because I had to find a way to take my one-on-one coaching program and put it in a course format. That was incredibly complicated because my program blends money mindset coaching with financial planning processes. I had to find the right balance to ensure clients would receive a transformative experience and they’d be able to do it without my hands-on support.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Managing time can be very challenging when you have a lot of projects and work streams going at the same time. I tend to take on a lot of collaborations and projects that overlap with coaching, so my calendar can get quite messy. Organization is a must!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Have a clear vision - this is important for any endeavor in life, especially when you’re starting a business.
  2. Know your values - you will be tempted to take on projects or work with clients that just aren’t right for you. Having clarity on your values and making decisions that align with them is critical.
  3. Keep moving - there will be roadblocks and times when you feel like giving up, but stay focused and find one small action you can take.
