What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is 2-tiered:

  • Teaching Excel & Google Sheets through video tutorials.
  • Selling pre-made templates to save customers time and money.

My customer base is comprised of professionals seeking to level up in their careers, people just starting out who want to learn spreadsheets, and consumers who prefer the simplicity of pre-built templates they can simply download and use rather than spending time building solutions on their own.

Tell us about yourself

I've spent the last 20 years managing businesses ranging from $10-$100M in revenue. In each of these businesses, I was able to advance and climb the ladder by utilizing spreadsheet skills to build solutions for everyday problems the company was facing. I'm motivated by helping others improve their lives, advance in their career, and save time and money.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Creating products that improve people's lives by saving time and money while also helping them learn new skills.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

It's all on you. The success (or failure) of your business rests on your shoulders.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Start now, don't wait.
  2. You don't need to be an expert; you just need to know more than people 2-3 steps behind you in the process.
  3. Teach people or help people do what you wished you knew how to do 3 years ago.
