What's your business, and who are your customers?

Black Light Candle believes self-care day starts with an amazing candle. We offer 100% Soy Wooden Wick Candles & all the things needed to elevate the scent of your space. Black Light Candles offers Candle Making Supplies at an affordable price for other candle makers.

Tell us about yourself

I created Black Light Candles in July 2020 in the midst of the global pandemic. I created Black Light Candles to reintroduce self-care. During this difficult time, self-care was the last thing on anyone’s mind, including mine. Each day I wake up motivated, knowing that I am building a business that I enjoy & helping others reintroduce self-care. Self-care starts with a candle.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is being able to adjust to any obstacle that comes my way. As a small business owner, you learn along the way & being able to adapt to a frequently changing environment is an accomplishment.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing that comes with being a business owner is the beginning. When you first start, it’s just a vision. Bringing the vision to life is the most difficult part.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Strangers will be your biggest supporters.
  2. You can’t do it all. Build a team.
  3. Rest & Self Care important. Don’t allow yourself to overwork with no rest.
