Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Rhianna Weaver, Owner of Big Sky Fertility and Wellness, located in Bozeman, MT, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I own Big Sky Fertility and Wellness; I am a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I help women get pregnant. I mostly work with women who are struggling with infertility, but I also see women who need help during pregnancy and the postpartum period. I also see women who are struggling with reproductive health care issues, such as PCOS and Endometriosis.

Tell us about yourself

I have been treating women for 12 years. I absolutely love what I do. I always get asked why I decided to become an acupuncturist and herbalist, and I tell people, Traditional Chinese Medicine found me! a LONG time ago, I actually hurt my back and went to a Chinese medicine clinic in downtown Denver, where they helped me become pain-free in 3 treatments. It was amazing. My mind was blown, and I knew I had to learn more about this medicine. Once I was in graduate school, I found that I gravitated toward obstetrics and gynecology. I really enjoyed helping women. What motivates me each day is the change I am making in the lives of the women I see in my office. I am empowering women to understand their bodies and ask a question. I am teaching women how to connect back to their bodies in a safe, positive, and all-encompassing way.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I get to help women get pregnant. Every time I get a positive pregnancy test, I've done my job. I've helped hundreds of women get pregnant. I've been voted Montana's best acupuncturist by Distinctly Montana magazine, and I've been able to create an amazing bulk Chinese herbal pharmacy. All while being a mom and a wife.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing about being a business owner is getting in your own head. Keeping yourself from going into a scarcity mindset, fear, and overproduction mode, which ultimately leads to burnout. It is constant work to keep your mindset strong and yourself healthy in mind, spirit, and body to run successful biz.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Get a business coach.
  2. Start small and work your way up.
  3. practice gratitude every day.
