What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is in energy healing. I offer spiritual counseling, Reiki and Crystal healing, Animal Reiki, and Crystal Consultations. I also have an online store where I sell my custom-made essential oil blends. My customers/clients are anyone who is looking for energy healing. However, I specialize in working with adolescent and adult empaths and sensitives, helping them to manage their sensitivity to the world.
Tell us about yourself
I’m an empath with natural intuitive abilities and have been on a spiritual journey and path of my own since I was 8 yrs old. I am a Certified Reiki Master Teacher and Crystal Healer, and I have a Master’s in Psychology. I have also been drawn to helping others, and during Covid, I decided I needed to find a way to help more people, so I quit my corporate executive assistant job and started my healing business.
The amazing benefits of energy healing coupled with the beautiful stories of transformation from my clients are what motivates me to keep doing what I’m doing every day. I know this stuff works, and I want to share it with everyone!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I feel my biggest accomplishment as a business owner is simply taking the leap of faith to start my business…to become an entrepreneur, especially during the very uncertain and tumultuous time of Covid. I knew it was the right time, as so, so many people were struggling and still are.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Well, honestly, pretty much everything! It’s not easy being a business owner; however, it’s very rewarding. The hardest thing is getting started…all the technical bits like business, cards, websites, scheduling programs, etc., licenses, and insurance: the everyday, nitty-gritty business and legal stuff. I just want to help people, but to do that, I have to have everything else in place and done correctly.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
My first tip would be not to do it alone! Get a business coach or mentor who’s been there and done that, so you have someone to ask questions to and receive answers.
My second tip would be to start out small. Remember to take one step at a time and don’t overspend in the first year.
My third tip would be to have patience and have fun! If you’re doing what you truly love, everything will, with dedication and effort on your part, fall into place. But remember it takes time! Don’t give up…keep shining your light, the right people will find you.
