What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business offers Private training in Yoga & Fitness, Detoxification Consultations/guidance, Table Stretch Program, and Weekly Yoga Class.

Tell us about yourself

I started this journey as a teen. I started teaching fitness classes in gyms as a senior in high school and went on to college and received my kinesiology degree. I have earned many more certifications in fitness, yoga, and nutrition since, and I continue to evolve. I lost both my parents early in my life to different health challenges, so that was my drive to live the healthiest life ever and to help others do the same. My motivation is my clients. Helping people get results without the damaging diets that are promoted out there and teaching proper techniques and modifications to honor our bodies on a daily basis.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Opening a successful private studio and bringing together all the modalities I do into one place.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

When feeling burnout, recognizing needing time off and inspiration within what I do. For me, this can come in the form of education, music, another trainer, etc.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do something you love. If you have to, work another job till you don’t need to.
  2. Patience. It can take time. Have faith.
  3. Know your personality traits and what makes you thrive.
