What's your business, and who are your customers?

I run a spiritual life coaching business specializing in guiding entrepreneurs to create success in their health and business.

Tell us about yourself

Like many entrepreneurs, my business started out as a side hustle simply because I was passionate about helping others with their health & wellness. I didn't plan to make this my full-time career and thought it would be more of a fun, creative outlet.

That all changed when I was pursuing my master's life coaching certification because I ended up transforming in a way I didn't even see coming. The fact that I wasn't looking for this change and had it find me let me know this is what I wanted to do for life. I made my first pivot in my business and began helping others feel confident and free with food and in their bodies.

As I was working with clients, I noticed many of the people I was working with were also entrepreneurs, and their patterns with food showed up in how they approached their businesses as well. This fascinating connection naturally led to not only helping others with their health and well-being but expanded into mentoring business as well.

This work truly lights my soul on fire because I can't imagine anything better than helping others reach their version of freedom, confidence, fulfillment, and purpose. Helping others feel confident in their body and with food helps not only the person I'm working with but also generations to follow them. And the same goes with business - helping others feel confident in what they have to offer so they can, in turn, help who they're meant to help - impacts so many other people's lives. It's the ultimate chain reaction reminding me this work is so much bigger than myself and has me happily show up to work every single day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Hands down, the work I do with my clients. One of the main things I hear them say is, "I feel like a different person," and I can't imagine anything more fulfilling or meaningful than that.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

No one prepares you for the challenges, emotions, fears, and doubts that come with being a business owner. Learning and mastering marketing and selling is only a fraction of what goes into running a successful business, and why I love to support others in this area of life so they can be confident, in control, and full of joy.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Give yourself grace and compassion as you learn and master the necessary skills it takes to run a successful business. Remind yourself it's OK to be a beginner.
  2. Ask for help. There's no way I'd be where I am today without the help of mentors, courses, masterminds, etc. Learning from others who have gone before you is the quickest way to grow.
  3. Find a community in your industry, whether that's a free Facebook group, mastermind, membership, etc. These groups are a great place to ask questions and see what others have experienced, which is extremely helpful for problem-solving, troubleshooting, and learning about available resources. You may also end up making friends in some of these groups, which is always fun!
