Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in marketing but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Benjamin Roussey, Founder of Infinista, located in Maricopa, AZ, US.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am working in the online marketing business. I am a content writer. I am fighting against the artificial intelligence that is trying to take my job more than Biden’s inflation is trying to take our way of life. I work out of my home, and I am able to have a home because I don’t live in the violent, over-taxed, overpriced, high minimum wage, low quality-of-life California. I did a four-year stint in the US Navy (sorry, MC Swan, for bothering you that much, I don’t know what your problem was – Costa Rica was lots of fun!!; glad I saw Hong Kong before the Adam Schiff communists destroyed it) and I have worked for large and small companies but because of a case of Asperger’s, I’m better off working on my own.
Tell us about yourself
As I have alluded to before, I worked in large organizations before in teams, and I just did not do well. When I was an enrollment counselor at Apollo Group, Univ. of Phoenix, I led the team in registrations and outbound phone calls (over 200 calls a day – these idiots could not even make 50 calls a day, and that company kept on hiring these idiots) but after three years they told me to leave mainly because I was not a stellar team player (this is after they stole a registration from me – Dwayne Wade’s ex-wife – the smart one – not the current one who hates America and loves supporting terrible public schools that ruin children’s lives). They gave that registration to someone who did even know who D. Wade was – Broyles (he was a Mormon – he actually thinks that Jesus and his apostles were drinking grape juice during The Last Supper – not actually win – wow!!!) – this punk ran off to our manager and confiscated it from me. Not only was that immoral, but that was Planned Parenthood immoral. So glad I obtained my MBA through UOP. That has helped me with my writing ability (my bachelor’s degree is from CSUS – filling in a bubble does not help your writing skills), and so on.
Then I taught English or ESL in South Korea and did OK there, but when I went to Saudi Arabia to do the same to the illiterates in that classroom, I could not deal with that type of laziness. This all lead me to become a content writer. I have always been a good writer, and this has led me to even write screenplays (I have not sold one yet) in my spare time.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The fact that I have not had to look for a normal job in years, and I’m to utilize the writing skills I honed at UOP.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Since I work alone and have my own business, I don’t make as much money as most people who drive to work. I have to let Uncle Sam know by writing off certain things, so I don’t end up with all those homeless people in those woke loser cities. I don’t want to be sleeping on a sidewalk in LA because I was over-taxed and destroyed by the Biden economy. Wow, I miss the Trump economy when things were going well. At least I don’t drive much.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
If you have children, which I don’t, you better have a partner who’s bringing in some coin. If you don’t have children, you can take more of a risk.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
If this country does not stop spending money, we don’t have and allowing these politicians to lie to us (the Inflation Reduction Act was never meant to lower inflation and actually exacerbated it, for example), we will be in serious trouble. $32 trillion in debt??!! When’s it going to end?
I’m grateful to God for giving me this writing ability. Yes, Asperger’s is not notable, but I don’t need to socialize like other people, so working alone in my own home office is just fine with me.
