What's your business, and who are your customers?

We're a team of diverse educators passionate about making online learning accessible beyond legislative compliance. Our mission is to help content creators, teachers, coaches, and anyone else that shares information online make their materials more inclusive. Our online courses are the culmination of completing hundreds of accessibility audits and remediation projects through our award-winning digital access firm, Oleb Media.

Tell us about yourself

As a blind person, I grew tired of coming across inaccessible websites, so I started Oleb Media to help organizations build inclusive online spaces.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

We've received multiple awards for our services and products, and it puts a big smile on my face when I hear from people with disabilities who are happy about being able to use a website from one of our clients.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

As a blind business owner, I find it hard to navigate networking events. I have a guide dog named Limo who helps bring people toward me, but this doesn't work online.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  2. Don't be afraid to advertise.
  3. Get a few mentors.
