What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a psychotherapist and Health & Wellness Coach. I help professional women who want to be free from anxiety, worry, and fear so they can step fully into their power and achieve their biggest goals and dreams.

Tell us about yourself

I am a mother of two amazing girls who are 19 at 14 years old, and I have been married to my wonderful husband for 26 years. I love my family and understand all the pushes, pulls, joys, celebrations, and meltdown days of living a life.

In our family, we walk our talk, and everything I share with clients is what we engage and practice in our family. We are perfectly imperfect and love it! I love our love for each other while navigating the rhythms of life. We’re an active and outdoorsy bunch who like skiing, snowboarding, sailing, camping, hiking, golf, and playing tennis and volleyball. I’ve been skiing since I was two and taught my kiddos to ski. My husband and oldest daughter are our snowboarders.

I used to play volleyball (Yes, even though I am only 5 feet tall), and now I coach club occasionally. My eldest daughter played in high school, and my youngest daughter is now our passionate volleyball club and high school player. We are an avid sailing family. My husband and I are both Certified Sailboat Skippers, so you can find us sailing the seas any chance we get. I am obsessed and passionate about helping people create and live a life they love!

My role and expertise are to help people rewrite, rewire and reprogram their subconscious so they can accelerate forward in their lives and thrive in their success! While studying psychology, I completed two internships in challenging environments. A Domestic Violence Organization and Juvenile Detention Center providing crisis counseling in individual and group sessions.

As you can imagine, these two environments were as intense at times as possible. I discovered that while talking is helpful, it wasn’t helping those I was working with to transform and heal at the root or cause level. Every time we talked about their experiences and shared their story, they gained insight and even built coping mechanisms and resources. Still, their pain and struggles weren’t changing. They understood why they felt terrible, but their circumstances remained relatively the same.

Understanding the talk therapy model is a 20-year model, I reached out to some of my professors who were regarded as leaders in the field of Psychology. I wanted to know, “Is there anything that helps people heal at the causal level? Suppose we heal broken bones, bruises, and cuts. Is there anything that helps people heal their mental, emotional, and experiential life wounds?”

To my joy, there was. Each professor directed me to Alpha and Theta modalities and techniques. They gave me oodles of research demonstrating how effective these modules were. Now, here’s the thing. I am a skeptic. I love being a skeptic. I’m a “prove it” gal, which is a good thing.

So, skeptically I enrolled in one of the top Counseling Clinical Hypnotherapy training in the United States. It was intensive year-long training, where I was required to work with 20 people individually. Record the sessions and submit them for instructor and peer review. I hadn’t “drank the Kool-Aid.” I was skeptical about every tool, process, and technique. and…they worked!!! Yep, people healed. Not just a little, but all the way!

Honestly, I was shocked and delighted. I knew this was the direction I needed to take my practice. From that moment on, I signed up for every certification and training I could find on the subconscious mind and how to work with it. I finally understood how to help people heal, transform their circumstances, and thrive.

My training allows me to work with kiddos as early as two years old to 200 if they exist (smiles). Within the first three years of my private practice, I started to receive requests from clients who had completed their therapy goals to use these same powerful techniques in coaching. Intrigued and excited, I learned life and business coaching (what I now call Transformation Coaching - because that’s what it does).

I’ve been in private practice for over 23 years. I discovered and created three techniques that rewrite, rewire, and reprogram your Subconscious Mind in 5 - 15 minutes! These are cooperative integration, energy program release, and Psychogenic Transformation. And, yes, the change is permanent, so you don’t have to keep repeating it. It’s so calm, kind and easy!

One of the most rewarding experiences I have had is seeing clients become who they are meant to be. To see them heal, transform and thrive. To see them create and experience what they didn’t think possible. To smile. To love themselves. To trust themselves. To feel safe being themselves.

And to know and claim their true power and freedom to live their truth! I haven’t met anyone capable of healing and transforming their mind, emotions, body, and life experiences. It’s my joy to show them how and to help them do it! This is what Transformation Coaching and all the services and programs I offer are all about. Helping you love yourself and your life! In your heart, I want you to know you are meant to thrive!

I am the author of 6 International Coaching Systems and 11 International Coach Certification Programs. I've trained and certified over 3000 coaches in over 130 countries.

I've built several multimillion-dollar coaching businesses for myself and other industry leaders.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Building effective boundaries, discernment, and embracing yourself as a leader.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Most people get into business for themselves because they want MORE time, money, and freedom. The truth is, those things come, but first, you have to be willing to grind, persist, and fail forward. You've got to keep going even when what you're doing hasn't started. Therefore my first tip is you've got to be in business because of passion, not just money. Your love will give you the energy to keep going because success is one of more action beyond failure!

Seek mentorship. Reduce your learning curve by learning from someone who has successfully succeeded. Don't let your glamor ego self get in the way. Ask for advice, and then do it. You only know what they do once you've done what they're guiding you. It's only through applying their guidance that you can discover how to do better.

Take action before you feel confident. The only way to make your ideas a reality and live your dreams is to dream big and then take SMALL action consistently until your manifest your big goals. It's the small, consistent steps that create excellent outcomes. Stop getting ready to get ready. Let your actions develop your readiness along your path to success.

Reinvest your cash in your business rather than taking a vacation and hire those you can delegate tasks and actions to who can't do what you can do in your business as soon as you can. Do what you're good at and passionate about as quickly as possible and happily pay someone to do the other things.
