Beau photo|video is a well-established team of wedding photography and videography in Montreal, Quebec. We offer a steady stream of high-quality products for all types of events. With our modern approach to imagery, we attract young or older couples looking for high-end quality products with a trendy aesthetic.
Tell us about yourself
My first wedding film was for a friend of mine. I rented the school camera and did my best. That day the photographer asked me if I was available for a future wedding. I asked for a small fee upfront and went to buy a camera. For the next 3 years, I did not pay myself and just upgraded my gear. At that time, the demand was so high that I started to build a team. But I still keep some weddings; it is a special moment each year to be part of that kick-ass moment.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Really to be able to create a system that is able to create high-quality products for a faire price.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Bookkeeping and finding the best people, especially during COVID.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Lean start model, learn everything in the business first, and create a document so that you can form someone fast.
