Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Pamela Ramos-Brown, Founder of Be Wealthy With Pamela LLC, located in Semmes, AL, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

At Be Wealthy With Pamela LLC, we founded a virtual community to bring success-minded entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial persons together in a Holistic Wealth School. Our community helps middle-aged to matured attendees receive caring and sharing of ideas, values, and resources to elevate their whole selves in life, love, and work. They get practical assistance to help them live better, feel good, and love stronger using a strategic management and leadership branding model.

Tell us about yourself

In 2000, after earning my Master of Business Degree, I went to work at a large financial advisory firm. I wanted to learn about everything that affects a person's wealth. After having a personal conversation with God about it, I made a list of 5 things. Since then, my life and business experiences have taught me good and hard lessons about how life, love, and work are highly interdependent. I'm on a mission to help people learn and apply these lessons with less pain and more joy during the process and sooner rather than later.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Many people know me for helping executives, particularly diverse business owners, achieve over $2B in contracts and financing to create/retain jobs and strengthen their businesses. To me, my greatest client compliments include: "I believe you all really care," "you've helped restore my faith," and "I wrote a book and wanted you to know how you inspired me."

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Having a dream bigger than your physical and fiscal resources needed to help everyone on your target list is the hardest thing that comes with being a business owner.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. God is the greatest resource you will ever have - remember His omnipotence.
  2. Always keep your approach holistic - sacrificing life or love or work will cost more than managing them with care in a strategically balanced manner.
  3. Never use the excuse -- "It's just business" to be rude, harmful, or otherwise justified.
