What's your business, and who are your customers?

BALI LASH is a beauty brand created to simplify your beauty routine. A Bali babe wants an effortless beauty routine that leaves her looking and feeling like a goddess while not being over the top.

Tell us about yourself

I'm a five-year beauty expert and content creator. I started BALI LASH while stuck in Bali at the start of the pandemic. My dream has always been to start a beauty brand, yet I didn't have the courage until I was alone in a foreign country with no job. Creativity and providing value and quality products to my customers drive me every day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is creating my brand, sourcing quality products, and doing the entire back-end process myself without any assistance.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Managing and being the main point of contact for your team and balance.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Plan carefully. Do not jump into anything without thorough research and understanding of the field you choose.
  2. Create systems. You can't do it all yourself, and if you try - it's not sustainable. Put systems in place to have your business continue to run like a well-oiled machine.
  3. Two in one - Leave room for a solid marketing budget and ask others for help. If someone is an expert in a field that would move you forward, they will most likely help.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

When they get tough, and you feel like giving up - keep pushing. That's when the magic happens.
