We offer affordable outdoor luxury to people looking for an outdoor sauna, wood-burning hot tub, or geodesic dome tent. Generally, we deal with the DIY customer with an appreciation for nature and the outdoors.
Tell us about yourself
Founded in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, in 2014 by a group of outdoor enthusiasts, Backcountry Recreation knows what it's like to be remote, cut off, removed from the hustle and bustle of the city, and we like it that way. On our countless adventures into the wilderness up to the lake house or off to the cabin, there is one thing that always stood out to us as the perfect end to the day, a piping hot, muscle-soothing, stress-releasing hot tub or sauna.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Becoming one of Canada's premier suppliers of outdoor saunas.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Continue to offer a great product at a fair price to thousands of Canadians.
