What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is a therapy and coaching service catering to women of color who are battling high levels of anxiety and/or living through infertility and pregnancy loss. I focus on helping women to shine from the inside by bravely facing their fears and challenges and getting out of their own way.

Tell us about yourself

I am a woman who lives with anxiety and has suffered from infertility and pregnancy loss. I have created a business that combines my training, gifts as a healer, and personal experience to help women to shine from the inside out. Each day I am motivated by the idea of introducing a concept that helps someone to become free of worries, doubts, and fear. I believe that it is my calling to help people see things another way.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is when I encounter a client from the past who says that I helped them to live more freely.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Sticking to the plan is something that can be difficult when you do not see immediate results. Learning that slow or even snail's pace growth is still growth and often an indication that you are on the right path is key to remaining hopeful when in business.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  2. Make a plan.
  3. Find a mentor if you can.
