Our business is Asheville Charcuterie Co. We have been inspired to offer Asheville a casual Catering option out of three everyday norms!
Tell us about yourself
Hi! My name is Lindsey DiMartino, and I started Asheville Charcuterie Co in February of 2021 because I felt it was time to follow my passion, making food beautiful. It was the right time for my husband and me to be able to go on a venture like this, so we thought, why not? The freedom and flexibility I have owned my own business (to an extent) are such a breath of fresh air after years of working in corporate sales. I have so much more time with my family and get to work on projects I am passionate about.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Getting through the first year! My parents have been business owners for over 40 years. They have always told me if you continue to be successful after the first initial year, you got a winning business model. But you have to stay consistently dedicated and always have fresh new ideas.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest part about my job is just saying no. I am a yes person and always aim to please. Saying no to people so I can stay within my boundary of providing great service instead of fast and hurried service is important to me.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Consistency is key. Social media is huge right now. Make sure that you have wonderful friends and family that support you and shout out your business when they can.
