What's your business, and who are your customers?

I lead beginners of all ages through transformative Fine Art experiences. We work joyously through our proven process to allow each individual to create the art of their dreams.

Tell us about yourself

I am a creative, life-loving, hopeful individual who believes we all have it in us to live an artful and empowering life. Twenty years ago, my desire to provide my own young children with an enriching art program started with six little people around our Dining Room table. Since then, I have had the great pleasure of bringing my love of life and Fine Art to more than 7000 individuals.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner has been my ability to pivot when I need to do so. An entrepreneur must be both able to embrace change and hold tight to the core values of the company.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

There are many challenges with being a business owner, but they can be exhilarating. Some of these challenges include giving tasks away to others, building a team, spending out, reinventing, maintaining balance in your life, and establishing and respecting boundaries, to name a few. The greatest challenge for me is that there is no ceiling to what I can do with my business. This is both exciting but requires some taming and vigilance.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Talk to as many respected people as you can about your ideas. Create a team of advisors carefully and utilize their brilliance.
  2. Keep your vision clear and concise.
  3. Work smart, create airtight S.O.P.S., and lead with joy.
