What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a cake designer that loves to bring a smile into people's homes. I love turning visions into reality using an edible medium. If you love unique, luxury-looking, and jaw-dropping, then I am your perfect designer.
Tell us about yourself
Born and raised in Mozambique. Came to Canada in 2003. Married and am a mother of 2. It all started in Mozambique, watching and helping my aunt Ivone. When I came to Canada, some of my friends sampled my work, which was all the encouragement I needed to continue with my passion.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
One of my biggest accomplishments was a nomination and then winning an award. The initiative was from the Gabon Embassy, which featured amazing and hard-working women. It made me realize that people noticed my work.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Consistency to ensure I always deliver the best of my expectations.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
