What's your business, and who are your customers?

Tell us about yourself

As an overweight kid, I learned that by getting more fit, healthy and active, I could change my life by building self-confidence and improving my self-esteem. After I was able to change my health and fitness, I decided to help Actively Change Other People Lives as well.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Having helped thousands of people by helping to improve, impact and influence the way they move, eat and think about their health, fitness, and wellness.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Making the tough decisions and having the hard conversations with clients who have given up on themselves. I am oftentimes their biggest fan, and it's hard to see them give up.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Commoditization is the enemy. Be unique.
  2. People are everything. Hire smart.
  3. Best practices. Learn from outside your industry about what works best.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Helping and serving others has to be in your DNA; otherwise, time, obstacles, and excuses will break you down. It's a 20-mile march done day by day, EVERY DAY!
