Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Anna Grabow, owner of Anna Grabow, LLC, located in Los Angeles, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a Spiritual Teacher and Guide, trained by a Yogi from India, who helps people on their journeys of Spiritual Awakening. I work with those that have an interest in energy and meditation to help them hone these skills, become masters of their frequency, and ultimately start living their purpose as a Light in this world. I provide one on one counseling as well as group programs designed to take people step-by-step through their own Awakening.

Tell us about yourself

Originally, I wanted to be a Nurse. I knew that my mission in life was to help people, and the only thought that came to mind was healthcare. After a few years of studying and working as an Emergency Medical Technician, I started paying attention to what was really bringing me joy. Watching Ted Talks and listening to speakers like Tony Robbins moved my soul. I decided that what I was really passionate about was personal development. Fast forward a couple of years of dedication to being trained in coaching and the Law of Attraction, I met my Guru. This beautiful Yogi who trained in the Himalayas found me through work via zoom. It was Divine. She started training me, and my Spiritual Awakening finally began on the level that I craved. Now I wake up every morning with the vision of helping others awaken to their Truth, the Truth that we are all made out of love, we all come from love, and we are all one. Once you experience this and don't just know it conceptually, your only purpose in life is to help bring others that level of peace and fulfillment.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner was starting my own podcast, being interviewed on multiple podcasts and summits, and earning my first five figures, all in my first year of business.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is that you don't really know what the market wants when you start out. You have an idea of what you like teaching, but you have to engage with people and have a period of trial and error before you will feel confident. You still take this period seriously by charging for services and coming across professionally, but it requires knowing that you can't know for sure what will stick and what won't.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Here are the top three tips I would give anyone looking to start, run or grow a business today:

First, start meeting people online. This could mean joining Facebook groups and participating, making content on a social platform, or meeting other business owners. This will help you start getting involved with the people you will be working with and learning from.

Second, choose one form of content, whether it's podcasting, youtube, or short videos for socials, and stick to it. If it's a podcast, do one episode a week. If it's short videos, do one every day for 30 days and see what happens. This will help you provide value and see what your audience likes.

Third, reach out to the people you know. Tell them about what you're doing. Offer them free services. Chances are that they or someone they know could benefit from what you're doing. And BE BOLD! This is a time to be unapologetically open about everything.
