What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a makeup artist catering to all regardless of sex, race, and age.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder; there is ALWAYS beauty inside and out - to adore and appreciate.

Tell us about yourself

I first started working in the business in 1998. I was a model for Premier Models and Talent, and through networking in the industry, I was asked to teach from experience how to apply makeup, the world of beauty "etiquette" and basic modeling techniques. One thing led to another, and it ended up being a lifetime of a career.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Knowing that I've played a part in helping bring joy into people's lives, whether for special occasions or simply having to feel better about themselves through the power of transformation. It warms my heart to know that throughout the years, I've had clients that are so sweet and kind! Their loyalty speaks volumes.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Facing disappointment. I am always seeking and searching for ways for betterment, solutions, and cooperation. Sometimes it's a challenge when we all don't see the same vision to lift the dream and reality to a higher, better functioning place. Improvement is an ever-existing, ongoing process. It has highs and lows, kind of like ocean waves! You have just to ride them to your best possibility!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Have passion, skill & desire go hand in hand with your chosen business. It has to make sense to YOU. It has to feel good.
  2. Have patience with yourself and the world around you. It takes drive and tenacity for something to click, even when others don't believe in you. Believe in yourself.
  3. Let integrity DRIVE what you're doing, and the universe will NEVER let you down. Trust in the process; you are CREATING GOODNESS.

Be kind in a cruel world. It gives you grace. With love, anything is possible, and solutions can be found.
