What's your business, and who are your customers?
Precision Pilates is a boutique Classical Pilates studio. We service men and women who want to be pain-free and feel good in their bodies without debilitating workouts.
Tell us about yourself
Precision Pilates started out of a need to be home more and be present; I am an exercise physiologist and have always moved in some way, shape, or form. Swim, dance, lacrosse, and runnings were my go-to. I fell in love with Pilates and the method because it changes bodies and changes lives. Each day I get to help my clients move better, make them feel stronger and able to accomplish tasks that they could not do in years.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is seeing my vision come to life. It's surreal at times. Going from a home studio in my basement to Zoom, then my back porch, and now in a high-end boutique 2000 sq foot studio. In a year, I have doubled my membership. Just this month, I hit 724 visits for the month.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
I find the hardest part is taking off the friend hat and switching to the business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Set boundaries.
- Charge what you are worth.
- Dream big.
