What's your business, and who are your customers?
I help high-performers who have fallen into a cycle of limitation and need a breakthrough. I have a system to help them reclaim their inner power. Blending mind/body/spirit medicine, psychedelic trauma work, and leadership coaching, the 6-month program creates fast and lasting transformation. The results range from launching a dream business, right-sizing draining relationships, stabilizing health concerns, finding love, and landing the dream house. To finally rid oneself of a lack of self-love and build innate self-worth. I've helped clients with the cessation of ruminating thoughts and addictive or compulsive behaviors like cutting, oversharing, or any of the other addictions we see.
I am beyond blessed and love to work with people who are high achievers who are ready to transform past trauma to reach their full potential. The company is Amma Human Wellness. I have a center South of Boston, and I also support clients all over the world online.
Tell us about yourself
In 2020, I added healing to my leadership coaching practice. I was leading conscious leadership training and coaching in tech companies. When the pandemic hit, it became clear that people needed more support than what meditation and emotional intelligence provide. I invested in the modalities that I considered truly transformative in my healing. I am blessed to have the opportunity to help people integrate and work through challenging issues that can keep them in repeating cycles for years or even decades. Understanding the issue cognitively is not enough to shift it. Together with the client, we tread into the depths of the unconscious to unwind deep patterns.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Opening the Amma Wellness Center. After a year of seeing clients out of my house, I transitioned to a beautiful space I designed to feel like a cooling beach oasis. I love the first impressions when people walk in and feel good energy and feel right at ease. It's as if they know what's to come. I hope to create an inclusive environment that can help my clients get back to their truth, create more inner peace, and ultimately evolve into their highest selves. Why not, right?
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Probably managing opportunities. You receive invitations that might sound exciting, but you must decide if they are goals worthy of your time. Staying on your path is key. You might get an influx of clients, but are they the best ones for you to work with? Knowing which opportunities in the market to pounce on and invest in is a big part of leading yourself and your organization. In my opinion, choosing which opportunities to pursue is one of the most strategic and challenging skills to have as a business owner.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
First, find a mentor, someone to help guide you with support, direction, information, and even connections. Someone ahead of you that has been where you're headed or has built something you admire. Friends and family, although a very necessary part of your support system, may not offer the best advice if things become challenging.
Next, understand the market. Learn about what people expect in your arena. Find out who your potential customers buy from now and what that experience is like. Down to the nitty-gritty of what software clients like, find out what your competitor isn't doing, and go deep. You'll want to define what makes you different or better and then use this to stand out in the marketplace.
Deliver the right thing! Make sure you solve a big enough problem. You want something that is easy to sell. On the delivery side of things, you want to provide the solution in a way that works with your energy. I don't often hear people recommend putting your energy first in business, but I certainly do. If the way your services/product is designed is a drag or not fun for you, it could lead to burnout. We want to really test the delivery and see how it feels, and tweak it early and often. There's no harm in changing things up to make it work easier and smarter.
