What's your business, and who are your customers?
I created a candle business that includes candles, wax melts, reed diffuser, and, soon to come, room sprays. For my candle collection, I chose to create fragrances that are unisex so everyone can enjoy each scent!
Tell us about yourself
I got started with my business by working in a candle-making shop back in Savannah, GA. I grew to love the process of candle making and creating my own fragrances. I use candle-making as a relaxation tool for me. I decided to take my knowledge of candle making and expand my own collection. One thing that motivates me to continue to make candles is receiving feedback, whether it's good or constructive criticism. This allows me to critique what I put out and continue to move forward with my business!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
A big accomplishment as a business owner is meeting new people, networking, and sharing what I've created in hopes of them sharing my business with others!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things for me is finding the target audience for my business. Once you find out your target audience, you can focus more on maintaining customer satisfaction.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Three tips I would give are to find something that you are passionate about, take the highs with the lows, and keep going; things always work themselves out!
