What's your business, and who are your customers?

Amanda’s Bakery creates cakes and other baked goods for all occasions. We have something for everyone, whether you’re stopping in for a quick treat or planning a special event. We specialize in custom cakes and cookies.

Tell us about yourself

I always loved baking when I was young and decided to make a career of it when I started working in bakeries and restaurants. I found joy in learning and getting better and better at this trade and truly enjoy creating cakes and desserts for my clients.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment thus far would be opening my storefront in September of 2020.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Owning a business is constant and doesn’t allow for many breaks. Another aspect that is hard to keep up with is making sure we have everything we need at all times as far as ingredients and packaging.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Master your craft because there is a lot of competition, be prepared to work hard, and keep going even if you get discouraged.
