What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a business coach for high-achieving mamas! I help moms make money in their business without spinning their wheels, "shoulding" all over themselves, or sacrificing motherhood. I offer both Breathwork (coming in January) and mindset + strategy coaching.

Tell us about yourself

What got me started was realizing that my life was not what I imagined it to be. I was overwhelmed and feeling lost, and we were living paycheck to paycheck. I drew a line in the sand one day and said, "No more." I was done with the stress, the overwhelm, and not having a great relationship. I had completely lost myself in taking care of everyone else; I had forgotten who I was.

What motivates me every day to do what I do is knowing that there is another mom out there just like me. She feels lost and knows that she wants her life to be better, + wants to be happier. She knows deep down inside that she isn't the person she has become, but she has no clue where to start. I want to be the inspiration and guide that helps her take the first step to find her again so that she can become the person she's feeling called to be.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Honestly, my biggest accomplishment is doing the damn thing and being an example to my kids. I've released a LOT of fear of judgment and people-pleasing tendencies, and that is a feat in itself!

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Having my own back. If you really think about it, it's easy to let ourselves down when no one else knows about it, right?! But when we learn to let go of that fear and do the thing we told ourselves we would, confidence begins to build. This can be something as simple as telling yourself you are going to journal for five mins tomorrow morning and sticking with it!

When you work for yourself, you have to learn to answer to yourself, especially if you are a solopreneur. You don't have a boss telling you what to do each day!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Sit down and look at your life, and decide if you are where you want to be. Have you had a dream in your heart but have been too afraid to start? Do you feel like there's more out there for you? Write out any fears you have and solve each one! When you get them down on paper, they seem less scary!
  2. Allow yourself to BE + make the business fit into your life and not your life into your business! If you're anything like me, maybe you're an all-or-nothing type of gal?! This left me working 24/7 and still hating life + wondering why. I had no boundaries with myself, and I thought that I had to work harder to get more done, and I'm here to tell you that you don't... Just sit quietly and listen to those little nudges from within. Give yourself the space to turn off and be. I'm all about being 100% CEO and 100% mom, but not both at the same time. Be present where your feet are planted at that moment.
  3. Hire a coach before you think you're "ready." One of the best things I ever did for myself and my business was hiring a coach. I spent nearly eight years spinning my wheels, working harder, thinking it would yield better results, and I was burnt out. When I finally hired the coach, things took off, and I wished I had done it sooner. The transformation that you can have in such a short amount of time is priceless, + maybe you've heard this before... "A business is built between the ears." A good coach will help you get your mind right and guide you along the path while keeping you out of the weeds.
