What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a wedding photographer who is happy to work with ALL types of people, specializing in vibrant imagery for the modern love story.
Tell us about yourself
I've always had an interest in photography, but I started exploring it as a career three years into studying something completely different in college. I then changed my major and started my business as soon as I got my degree.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment, thus far, would be being featured on the front of and in The Knot in print.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Self-discipline, time management, and challenging yourself daily to learn new things and be flexible with how you work.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
The first tip I would give is to make sure you are passionate about whatever you want to go into. That passion will keep you going when everything else feels like it's falling apart. The second tip I would give is to create time for yourself to fill your own cup. You cannot pour from an empty cup. The third tip I would give is to constantly challenge yourself to learn new things and face fear head-on.
