Canada’s Leading SuJok Therapist - Alla Ozerova
Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Alla Ozerova, owner of Alla Ozerova Health Centre, located in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am the owner of "Alla Ozerova Health Centre," an Acupuncture Clinic located in downtown Vancouver. My clinic focuses on providing alternative treatments to western medicine and ensuring successful outcomes for all patients. I strongly believe in treating the root cause and not just the symptoms of an ailment. With this approach, I have been able to treat thousands of patients with great results and share their wonderful success stories on social media!
Tell us about yourself
I specialize in SuJok, which is a form of Korean Acupuncture, and am currently Canada's leading SuJok Therapist. This form of acupuncture can access any part of the body (through the hands) and address the widest range of physical, emotional, and mental issues, as there is no limit to what it can treat. During my treatments, I learn as much as possible about my patients and develop unique and personalized formulas to address their concerns from where they stem.
Something that truly motivates me to continue my work is when patients share their improvements and life-changing results, especially those who came in with no hope!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The growth of my practice has been my biggest accomplishment
thinking back to where I started and where I am now is proof that perseverance does go a long way! I started in a tiny space, shared with other practitioners, and now own the largest acupuncture practice in Canada.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Balance! Running a business means you're an "all-in-one" person. My practice and the daily flow of patients is one aspect, but on the other end, there is everything that has to do with managing the business itself: scheduling, accounting, filing documents, communication with suppliers, legal processes, etc. It can get difficult to be up to speed on everything at the same time. It's almost as if I have two jobs!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Follow your intuition: If you feel something is right, then it probably is.
- Network: Connect with as many people as possible in different fields of work. You never know when you'll need a hand with something!
- Allow yourself time: Give yourself and your business time to grow, and remember that not all success stories are linear.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I am grateful for every person who has helped me along the way to building my business and to all the patients to continue to believe in my work. It's important to value the people around you and acknowledge the experiences that have made us who we are today.
