What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am an ESL English coach. I work with clients who want to improve their English language skills. I work with a diverse set of students and have taught people from every continent. I work with beginners all the way to the highest level.

Tell us about yourself

I first started as an ESL teacher working for VIPKid. When China shut down foreign tutoring, I was one of the many causalities. I realized I had a passion for teaching ESL and wanted to continue helping others. It is always amazing when students/clients realize how much they have learned. I am helping people in real time!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being able to generate income doing something that I am passionate about.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Keeping the balance between generating new clients/students and serving the ones you already have.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Find something you love.
  2. Find someone to share the journey with and who will cheer you on.
  3. Keep your word and follow through with your promise.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?
