What's your business, and who are your customers?
At Integral Leadership Design, we work with leaders and their teams to help them navigate personal and organizational transformation. The future of work will continue to involve humans. Think about it who will birth innovation, lead and motivate others, make final decisions, set strategy, and drive organizational success? Technology alone will not drive growth in performance. High performance is a people business. We custom-craft our people-focused solutions because that is what gets people to where they want and need to be.
Tell us about yourself
I came from a family of entrepreneurs and knew that someday I would become one too. I love what I do because I know in my head and heart that my team and I make a positive difference in people's lives.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner was when we reached and surpassed our revenue targets. I am so grateful and appreciative that we continue to do that in these difficult times.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
For me, the hardest thing in being a business owner is the combination of long hours and the need to attend to all facets of running a business simultaneously. I'm talking about business development, sales, marketing, finance, business delivery, and managing people.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do your research on who else is in your market space.
- Develop and work your business development plan with targets and how you will get there.
- Declutter your life as much as possible to create space for starting your business.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Being an entrepreneur, particularly at the beginning, can be a lonely place. Make sure to develop an entourage of people who have your back and can support you through challenges and triumphs.
