What's your business, and who are your customers?
My clients are mainly 9-figure and billion-dollar corporations. From time to time, 7-8 figure SMEs and not-for-profits approach me. I help in three different ways:
1. Thought Leadership & Speaking: My inspiring and hands-on keynotes deliver tangible learning. They are based on more than 20 years of experience in business and my upcoming books: 'Secrets of Next Level Entrepreneurs' (Wiley, 2023) and 'The Strategy Legacy' (Business Expert Press, 2023).
2. Workshop Facilitation, Strategy Consulting, and Board Advisory: As client needs vary, I facilitate bespoke strategy workshops and consulting projects.
3. Masterclass and Masterminds: My online course, 'Next Level Business Strategy Masterclass,' is designed for small businesses below 7 figures. The video-based course is self-paced, and it comes with a comprehensive workbook to literally create your new business strategy as you advance through the course. Corporate leaders use the course as part of my Strategy & Leadership Mastermind to sharpen their strategic acumen and to break down overarching strategies into their areas of responsibility. In addition, the Mastermind provides exclusive access to thought leader conversations, individual coaching sessions, and - of course - sessions with a hand-selected group of minds.
Tell us about yourself
Helping clients create strategic clarity has been the driving force behind what I do. It empowers them to make confident decisions that lead to achieving the vision they have for their businesses - and for them personally. Facilitating these processes is pure joy!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Finding the time to write business books while taking care of clients and being a father to a toddler - all at the same time :-)
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Saying 'no' to 99% of what's theoretically possible and instead saying 'yes' to the handful of strategic priorities.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Don't believe the shiny stories of the few ultra-successful entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship is not glamorous.
- No one makes it on their own: find the people you can trust, and build something together with them.
- Learn three essential hard skills: how to create a clear business strategy (not just a marketing strategy), how to price your products and services, and how to leverage your sustainability efforts to build stronger customer connections.
