What's your business, and who are your customers?
I offer solution-focused coaching for clients of all ages. Most of my clients come to me seeking guidance in their careers, communication patterns, or accountability in day-to-day tasks.
Tell us about yourself
I started as a counselor ten years ago and morphed my career into coaching. My passion was changing into a desire to help clients in a more short-term, solution-focused manner, helping them with accountability to themselves and others, and helping them navigate career changes or reigniting their passion in their lives and current careers. My clients are my biggest motivation. Watching them grow and succeed makes me so proud of them and of the work I do. The feedback has been incredible, and I’m so lucky to do what I do every day!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment has been growing my business over the last five years into a success, but more than that, it’s been helping people rediscover their own potential. That might sound cliche, but it’s very true!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing can be the highs and lows in client flow. Some weeks I am completely full for long stretches of time, and others are quite slow, where you start to question your success as a business owner. I find it useful to remind myself that ebbs and flows are normal and it always turns around.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find something you’re both passionate about and skilled in.
- Believe you will succeed.
- Be PATIENT! Keep plugging away.
