What's your business, and who are your customers?

I own an on-location hair and makeup company. We specialize in bridal hair and makeup. We love making brides feel beautiful on their big day!

Tell us about yourself

I have been in the industry for 14 years. I also own three salons with my dad, so I have always been in the beauty world. I started doing weddings about 11 years ago and fell in love. Being able to be a part of someone's special day is the best feeling ever! You get to see it all, and there really isn't anything like it.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

In the first year of business, we had over 70 weddings. I couldn't believe it!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Not knowing where your income is coming from and right now finding staff! Both can be stressful, but you just have to roll with it.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. It takes time to get a business going, don't give up quickly.
  2. Make sure your finances are in check. You want to be organized with them.
  3. Find something that makes you different than other businesses out there.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Owning a business can be exhausting, but it is so worth it!
