What's your business, and who are your customers?
Personal training and nutrition. I work with anyone who wants to lose weight, build muscle, or improve their health through diet and exercise.
Tell us about yourself
About 20 years ago, I started working at Curves for Women. I loved helping women lose weight, so I decided to further my education and get certified in personal training and nutrition.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Making people feel better about themselves. I've helped hundreds of people build muscle, lose fat, and lower cholesterol and blood pressure. Through diet and exercise, they have improved their life and longevity.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hustle. My work is never done. Some people leave work, and their work is done. There is always something I need to do or should do.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- No matter how you feel, keep showing up.
- If people criticize you or your business, don't be offended. Use it to improve you or your business. You can't get better with only compliments.
- Customer service is critical. Always greet people when they walk in the door and be positive. No one wants to be around negative people.
