Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Sarah Applegarth, owner and founder of Active Life Conditioning, located in Collingwood, ON, Canada.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a health and wellness company that helps people train their bodies for whatever physical activities inspire them.
Tell us about yourself
I love to do all things exercise...it’s a huge part of my social and mental health, tennis, cross country skiing, volleyball, mountain biking. I assembled a team of therapists (physio, chiropractors) and coaches (strength, pilates, yoga) that help me keep my body in shape to keep doing all those things. Now I can help our clients with the same thing.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I pride myself on helping everyone from professional athletes, weekend warriors, brain injury clients, and kids reach their goals using the same model and philosophies.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Balancing staff and managing the business while still actively working with clients.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Make sure you’re passionate about what you do, and it will never feel like a job.
