What's your business, and who are your customers?
At Abundant Flame Candle Company. We specialize in custom soy wax candles that are crystal-infused to provide the beneficial energy the crystal exudes. We use aromatherapy fragrances to aid in relaxation and set a tranquil mood in every room. Each candle is hand-made with 100% soy wax and positive intentions and love. Our candles will take you on a journey.
Our mission is to help people live abundant lifestyles with the principles of Prosperity Consciousness by creating a product that allows them to transform their mindset and attract the abundant lifestyle they deserve. The name "Abundant Flame Candle Company" represents what we offer: Flowing abundance through a flame.
Tell us about yourself
Hi, I am Kamali Claros, founder and CEO of Abundant Flame Candle Co. My love of aromatherapy, journaling, candles, and being a "Self-Full Advocate" helped create what I like to call my passion project, Abundant Flame Candle Co, that turned into a successful candle business. I woke up one day after working six twelve-hour shifts nights straight at a crisis contract in the ER, as a respiratory therapist during the pandemic, with the question 'How will people remember me? How can I help more people? Yes, I love my career. However, I still had that niggling feeling that I could do more.
I had always used journaling as a form of grounding and stress relief after a long and grueling night in the ER. Still, when I started adding the practice of "Flame Gazing" with aromatherapy candles and meditation, I found that my self-awareness improved, confidence improved, and my mindset changed for the better. What I like to call "Abundant Mindset" is what helped me get and accomplish the things in my life that at one time I thought were and could never be possible.
I came across a candle-making kit, and the rest is history. The combination of aromatherapy and organic soy wax. The crystals for their healing benefits, and my touch of candle magic! or design. Our slogan is ABUNDANT AND LIT! That represents the feeling each candle will you give.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I take pride in knowing that our customers trust us enough to allow us into their most personal space of their lives, like their homes or an event. And believe in our candles and what we provide with the use of our candles.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I am being pulled in many different directions and wearing many different hats as a new business owner; it seems all simultaneously. Still, I remind myself that I am only one person and ask for assistance from family and friends when needed to prevent burnout.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do thorough research on new businesses or products, or ideas.
- Working your full-time job. Work that job until your business has enough revenue coming in to allow the company's growth and sustain your current lifestyle.
- Study and know your product or trade inside out. Get your roots deep in the soil before you venture out to many different things. Be good at one thing first.
- Do what brings you joy and peace, and you won't feel like it is work.

Enjoy and find the excitement in your journey as a business owner. I have discovered a new person in my journey, and I am so proud of what I have accomplished so far and believe that this is only the beginning.
