Tell us about yourself

A computer science graduate who gravitated to SEO, where he learned a variety of techniques and strategies as a web developer before transitioning into the world of SEO and SEM at SSENSE. While there, he displayed his ability to not only maximize traffic - but also displayed a talent to maximize his impact on those he worked with, which led him to a team lead position. Being a person who consistently seeks challenges, he explored the role of display marketing manager at Beyond the Rack and transitioned into the role of VP at OPM Pros before making the leap from intrapreneur to entrepreneur. Stepping into his new role as CEO, coupled with a desire to optimize not only traffic for his clients but the experience for his people, he adopted the name WebTmize. The name is a constant reminder of his company's vision to consistently grow individually and collectively, take on new challenges, and the need for a strong, passionate, caring, and driven team to make it all happen.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Grew a team from 1 to 20+ within four years.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Hiring the right people and getting them aligned on the mission and vision as a solid team. Maintaining the strong culture we had when we were a smaller team of 5, 10, 15 people...etc.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. The world is small, never burn bridges, and most businesses are built on relationships.
  2. Enduring hard moments is key to success since that's where you learn the most.
  3. Stay true to yourself and your core values.
