What's your business, and who are your customers?
I have two businesses that I am passionate about.
The first is Passionate Wellness. I work with my clients to inspire behavior change, motivation, and accountability in goal setting. As a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach, I focus on timeless aging from the inside out and outside in. I work with women ages 35 to 55 looking to improve their overall health and wellness. As their health coach, I guide them to learn how to eat the foods that support their individual needs, have more energy, improve their skin quality, get quality sleep and incorporate consistent movement and self-care into their weekly routines. My clients love that they can make simple changes that create lasting results.
My second business is called Rain4est Essentials Skin Care. As a natural skin care formulator, I use ingredients that are sustainably harvested, wild harvested, and organic. The ingredients I have chosen for my line come from the world's rainforests. Rainforests are the lungs of our planet, and I have found that they provide the most amazing plant sources for the ingredients in my products.
Tell us about yourself
I have always been passionate about health and wellness. As a mom to four daughters, it has been my life’s goal to guide them to know how to be the best version of themselves. I grew up in a home where minimally processed clean food sources were a priority. That inspired me to continue this way of eating throughout my life. I could see how much more energy I had, how my skin positively responded, and how I could focus better and feel better overall. I spent almost ten years in Real Estate in my early 20s. I poured my heart into it, but my soul was suffering. It was a very stressful career.
My husband and I decided that after my second daughter was born, I would become a stay-at-home mom. I spent the years caring for my growing family and researching nutrition, lifestyle, and mindset for longevity. When my youngest daughter started first grade, I decided to take my love for wellness and turn it into a career.
As a result of my training, I am a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach, AADP Board Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Advanced Skin Sequencing Practitioner, Certified Nutritional Aesthetics Practitioner, and Author. As a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I trained in over one hundred dietary theories and a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. I offer custom skincare programs with formulations based on a client’s ancestry.com and toolboxgenomics.com results.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Hands down, the biggest accomplishment is sitting across from my client at the end of our 6-month health coaching program, watching their excitement (sometimes accompanied by tears) as they realize they have achieved their wellness goals.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the biggest challenges is marketing to grow my clientele.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Show up every day and give 110%.
- Push through the challenges.
- Believe that you are unique and that what you have to offer is what your clients have been looking for.
