What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is a plant-based lifestyle company that specializes in gut health, flat tummy tea, and soon food and beverage.

Tell us about yourself

I first got started on my business back in 2015 when I got fired from my job. I had no option but to start my own business because of the ages of my children at that time. I couldn't find a babysitter to babysit my children after 4 pm, which was the time I mostly worked, so I made the decision to start my own business, and I have never looked back ever since.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is the fact that I didn't quit when things got tough. I preserved and kept going.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things is not knowing when the next sale will be or how many sales will come your way on a daily basis.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Never be afraid to start a new business or go into a new venture.
  2. Determination and discipline go a long way because these are the type of characteristics that you will need to keep pushing on when times go hard. You have to be determined and disciplined to run your business on a daily basis, even when you do not see the results as fast as you would like.
