What's your organization, and who are your members?
We are a non for profit that provides custom care baskets for parents of children in cancer treatment nationwide.
Tell us about yourself
My own daughter was diagnosed with leukemia at age 3, enduring lengthy hospital stays; I know firsthand the toll it takes on the parents. Once she ended treatment and was healthy again, I began this non for profit to give back and help out in any way!
What's your biggest accomplishment as an organization?
Shipping out the first basket... felt amazing!!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being an organization?
Acquiring funds and donations can be difficult at times.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow an organization today?
- Stay focused, make daily lists, and check them off!
- Network as much as possible.
- Believe in yourself!
