What's your business, and who are your customers?

A Healing Doula is dedicated to those looking for Private and Customized Private Yoga, Birth, Death, and Grief Doula Services. We also offer Luxury Grief retreats annually.

Tell us about yourself

In 2007, at 27 years old, and after 7 years of being her Caregiver, I lost my mother to Breast Cancer. At 31 years old, I lost my father to Brain Cancer. Since then I have dedicated my life to the support of Caregivers and all those managing life after loss. I sit as the BIPOC Grief Educator and Care Curator for The Dinner Party. I am a Birth, Grief, and Death Doula. I am a Yoga and Meditation teacher and a recent publisher of the book Grief Gems found on Amazon!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I am able to support people during the greatest and most powerful transitions in their life.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

My hardest task is balancing the "owner" with the human that needs to reset my own energy in order to show up best for my clients.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Figure out what you're good at and love right now.
  2. It doesn't need to be perfect before you begin.
  3. Take a tiny step every day. You'll be shocked at how far you go within 6 months' time.
